Seibu wrapped up second place and home field for the first playoff round in the previous game, and that round starts on October 10. That leaves the season finale at ZOZO Marine mattering a lot more to Lotte than to Seibu. The pitching matchup is also closer than the names suggest. Put together, I think this game tilts toward the Marines.

Everything KT does on offence goes through Paris Bass right now, and that plays straight into LG's hands. LG is a set, organised defence that can crowd one scorer as long as nobody else hurts them. KT doesn't have that second threat at the moment. So I expect LG to pull clear rather than scrape through.
Doosan spent its last series scoring in waves against Samsung, while Lotte spent its last series struggling to score at all. Their meeting asks whether Lotte can stop a small leak before it becomes a long inning. In the other matchup, KIA's late answers against LG run into a Samsung side that nearly erased a Doosan lead but could not finish the comeback. Those recent series frame two different questions; they do not decide either upcoming game.
Korea keep the ball against compact teams but struggle to turn it into real chances, and Uzbekistan are exactly that kind of team. Cannavaro's side don't need possession to hurt you, and they arrive in their best spell under him. Korea are on an interim coach with a mixed record and a rotated squad at the end of the international window. That's why I side with Uzbekistan in this one.
This is the last regular-season game for both clubs, and the two sides are in very different places. Seibu locked up second place and a home playoff first stage with a win in the previous game of this series, so there is nothing left for them to win here. Lotte are still playing for something: one of their hitters is a single hit away from the league lead and another is two homers behind the home run leader. My read turns on that gap in what the game means to each dugout.
With South Korea and Uzbekistan facing off in their upcoming friendly at Yongin Mireu Stadium, the tactical clash between Roberto Moreno’s interim setup and Fabio Cannavaro’s defensive structure is the real story. Everyone focuses on South Korea’s offensive talent, but Cannavaro has organized Uzbekistan into a disciplined unit that recently frustrated Iran and Syria by heavily compressing the central channels.
LG has been the team that shuts Suwon KT's offence down, and KT looks even thinner on that end right now. Without point guard Kim Sun-hyung, KT's attack is basically Paris Bass and not much else, and LG arrives off a 103-68 opener where the ball moved and five players scored in double figures. I think the gap here can be wider than the market is saying.
Suwon KT and LG Sakers bring two very different recent games into this meeting. Suwon were level with Seoul at halftime, then lost the second half; LG pulled away from KCC before halftime and never needed a late rescue. The hinge I’m watching is whether Suwon can keep the middle of the game from becoming a string of empty trips while LG gets its offense moving early. One strong outing from either side is a clue, not a script.
In three home games this window, South Korea have not scored a single first-half goal, and they were 0-3 down at the break against Uruguay. Uzbekistan arrive having led at half-time in both of their own games, with goals in the 10th and 27th minutes. So for this friendly the thing I'd watch is the opening half hour: the side that normally needs time to warm up is facing one that likes to get its goal early.
