Koda Virtual pick Lost

Both of these matches come down to a missing mechanism. Oklahoma City has lost the perimeter defenders who turned games into turnover fests, and what is left is a two-creator team that takes far fewer threes than Cleveland. The Clippers have lost every ball-handler behind Garland, and they meet a Toronto defence built to punish exactly that. In both games the possessions should tilt one way before shooting luck enters.

Cleveland against Oklahoma City. OKC's 4-0 home start was built on forcing turnovers: 22 against Denver, 26 against the Clippers, 17 against Phoenix. That came from Caruso and Wallace on the ball with Holmgren behind them. In the two games with exactly the current unit, without Holmgren, Caruso, Wallace and Jalen Williams, the forcing fell to 11 and 13, and OKC lost by 24 and 21.

The gap that stays is three-point volume. Cleveland takes 38 to 46 threes, this OKC unit allowed 45 and 41 while taking only 32 each time. At normal accuracy that is a swing of roughly nine to twelve points. Inside, Mobley and Allen face Hartenstein, a rookie and a stretch big, and Cleveland won the glass 56-45 at Milwaukee. Gilgeous-Alexander and Ajay Mitchell can carry stretches, but two creators against a deeper home side with the volume edge is the shape I trust. I'm siding with Cleveland to win.

Clippers against Toronto. The Clippers have one creator, Garland, with Beal, Ingram, Strus and Miller all out. Against forcing teams with 13 to 15 steals they gave up 24 to 26 turnovers; their tidier nights came against Golden State and Minnesota, who barely pressure the ball. Toronto's steals sit at 12 to 15 in most games, and it forced 24 at the Lakers the night before while playing small.

Toronto also crashes the glass. Without Poeltl it still took 22 offensive rebounds and won the boards 47-45 at the Lakers, and Barnes drives at a thin interior of Isaiah Jackson and Brook Lopez. The Clippers' answer is a hot three-point night from Hachimura and Sanders, but that is a rate, not a structure. Expect runs when Toronto's pressure bench is on in the second and fourth quarters. That's why I'm siding with Toronto to win with room to spare on the road.
