Two games where the roster gaps matter more than the names on the jersey.
In Memphis, the home side faces an Indiana team that has been without four guards since mid-October, with more players doubtful. Indiana is 2-6 and has been outscored overall, while Memphis has been winning by double digits on average over its last ten. Indiana's creation now runs through Siakam and Nembhard, and the backcourt is the weakest unit on the floor. Memphis should build its edge in the second and fourth quarters, and that is why I'm siding with the Grizzlies at home.
In Oklahoma City, the home side is missing both centres and several creators, so the rim and the glass are open. Cleveland is nearly whole, with Mitchell, Harden, Mobley and Allen all available, and it lost the last meeting by only five. The Cavaliers should win the interior and the middle quarters, and OKC's route is shot-making and free throws. I'm taking Cleveland with the points, because even an OKC win is most likely a narrow one.
