Two Champions League nights where both sides are leaking at the back and both attacks create real volume. In each game the structure points to chances at both ends rather than a controlled, quiet match.
Como at home like to keep the ball, averaging around 60 percent possession with roughly 19 shots a game. Manchester United create nearly as much going forward, but their back line is badly depleted: Martinez, Heaven, Shaw and the suspended Yoro are all out, and the Martinez and Heaven absences are fresh ones, since both played in the recent Atletico and Leeds games. Como also have injuries behind the ball, and they have conceded late before. The flow should be Como pressing and United breaking, with the second half the most open stretch. That is why I'm leaning toward a game with plenty of goals.
Lille against Galatasaray is the second story. Galatasaray score in most games and have a thin set of centre-backs, with several defenders off the roster. Lille are without Ueda and the suspended Mbappe, which trims their ceiling, but they still created strong chances at home against Brest and have Giroud in the box and on set pieces. Galatasaray should hold the ball and shoot a lot, while Lille look for counters. That's why I'm siding with both teams finding the net here.
