Wrexham and Middlesbrough will contest the first midfield reception, while PSV and Brugge will contest the first pass out of Brugge's back line. Boro and PSV each have more than one current route into the box. Both matches may be decided by which side can renew that supply after the first goal.
Wrexham's three-back buildup struggled to reach its forwards against Sheffield United until Smith entered; Smith then took their only shot on target and is now injured. Cleworth and Sheaf have returned to minutes, while O'Hare's role remains under assessment. Boro's Morris and Berhalter can find Cozier-Duberry, Brittain or Lankshear, and recent wins showed a separate later goal from the other side or a corner. I expect those current receivers to produce the decisive further chance, so I'm siding with Middlesbrough.
PSV recover clearances through Mauro Júnior and Sano and feed Til from either side; Pepi returned with a goal and assist in his last appearance and can add another box receiver. Brugge's Ordoñez missed recent matches, and their defence allowed Lens repeated shots despite the clean sheet. PSV's Schouten and Wanner also missed their last game, so the recent pressing pattern already reflects those absences. Brugge have a real Forbs-to-Tresoldi direct attack, which should keep PSV pressing for another finish. That's why I'm siding with PSV.
