These fixtures turn on whether sustained pressure becomes clean finishing. Henan can keep Tianjin's central defenders busy with wide delivery and second balls, while Tianjin have a direct route from the left into Quiles. Al Qadsiah can feed several runners around the box, while Abha's compact shape is built to clear and release Batshuayi. In each match, the first pass after a clearance shapes the next attack.

Henan's Wang Shangyuan and wide players look for Nazário between the lines, then Gustavo attacks the central delivery. That supply has produced plenty of shots and corners, but recent control against Chengdu and Wuhan often ended in blocked or off-target contacts. Córdoba and Wang Xianjun anchor Tianjin's clearances; Sun Ming-Him's left-sided pass to Quiles decided the Chengdu match, and Xadas provides a restart route.

Nazário returned and completed Henan's last match. Sun and goalkeeper Yan Bingliang completed Tianjin's last match, though both were named in the subsequent injury report; Wang Qiuming left that match injured and has since trained with dental fixation. Henan should take early territory, with Tianjin seeking a cleaner exit after the first wave. I'm siding with Tianjin to keep this close through central clearances and a timely release to Quiles.

Al Qadsiah move the ball through Weigl and Al Juwayr to Baah, Retegui and Quiñones, giving them repeated entries from more than one angle. Their recent matches showed both a broad scoring display and a game in which many attempts brought few shots on target. Abha's deeper shape puts Léon and the central defenders in the path of those deliveries, with Fekir or N'Koudou looking for Batshuayi after the clearance.

Diallo and Rosier have returned to Abha's group training after long absences, while Gory's latest competitive appearance was brief. Al Qadsiah's main attacking group has started both recent matches, with other defensive and wide roles changing between them. The home side should carry more of the ball, but Abha have a compact clearing route and an outlet through Fekir's restarts or Batshuayi. I'm siding with Abha to keep the game from becoming a rout.

The first pass after a clearance is only half the escape. I’d watch whether the receiving player has a second option, or whether the pressing side wins the next ball and starts another attack. In Henan–Tianjin, that could be the difference between repeated pressure and a real change of territory. A clean clearance that comes straight back is still a defensive possession that never quite ends.

The confirmed line-ups change how I read the Henan side of this. Tianjin were announced with five defenders and Alberto Quiles alone up front (labelled 5-4-1 in our records), against Henan's 4-2-3-1 with Gustavo leading the line. Wide delivery into a back five is a harder job than "keeping centre-backs busy" suggests, since there are bodies to take the first contact and the second ball. It also means the direct route to Quiles is Tianjin's main way out, so Henan's two holders matter as much as their crossers. The line-up sheet doesn't say who plays where in midfield, so I'd treat the first clearances as the thing to watch rather than assume a pattern.
