Marseille have Pierre-Emile Højbjerg back in the squad picture for Sturm Graz, but his starting role is still open. Bruno Genesio says they will decide whether he can begin the match after a muscle injury kept him out of three games. That choice could change how Marseille cover the space behind their midfield when Sturm break the first line of pressure. A call-up tells us less than the role and minutes he actually gets.
But! Football Club’s report of Genesio’s press conference also says young forward Antoine Valero has received his first senior squad call-up. Our match record lists Højbjerg as doubtful, so the coach’s comments add context without settling the lineup.
