This match turns on the KBL rule that lets both imports share the floor in the second and third quarters. Mobis have just lost Prim to a knee ligament tear and have no replacement signed, so for those twenty minutes they bring one import against KCC's two. Mobis were already the league's weakest side in the middle quarters even with Prim. Their best way back is to rattle KCC's ball-handlers and run.
KCC win by scoring. Heo Hoon leads the league in assists and runs the two-man game with Shawn Long and Louis King, and when KCC won at this arena earlier this month they made 29 of 43 twos. They lose on defence and ball security: they concede the most points and the most fast-break points in the league, and front-court turnovers turned into a string of fast breaks in one quarter at SK.
The main matchup is KCC's two imports against Bezley and Mobis's domestic bigs. In Mobis's one full game without Prim they scored only 71 at home and made 7 of 29 threes. Bezley carried 36 minutes, and Kim Kyung-won managed one rebound in 21 minutes. Coach Yang said himself that the help defence is wearing Bezley down, and he faded badly after half-time in that game.
The reverse route is real. KCC have given the ball away 12 to 15 times in four of their last five games, and Mobis are coming off five days' rest against KCC's two. But in that game without Prim, Mobis's problem was putting points on the board, not a lack of steals. Jo Han-jin's absence was already part of their form.
The first quarter should be close, one import each. The margin should open up in the second and third, with KCC's size working inside and on the glass against a tiring Bezley. The fourth then comes down to whether KCC's thin bench can hold the gap.
The market has priced Prim's absence, but I read that as a standard import-loss move rather than the full twenty minutes of two-against-one. That's why I'm siding with KCC to win by a clear margin on the road.
