Two very different structures here. In Buenos Aires, the home side should own the ball and the territory against a compact visitor that scores rarely, so the question is only whether territory turns into goals. In Cleveland, a bullpen game meets a cold, gusty night in which the usual big-swing routes are harder and runs have to come from bunched innings and mistakes.

Boca Juniors against Talleres. Boca are third, Talleres fifteenth, and the gap shows up in how they play. In their three latest home-type games Boca out-created opponents every time (chance quality 3.02 to 0.17, 1.72 to 0.72, 1.47 to 0.44) and they are unbeaten in the league at home with nine goals for and two against. Talleres score under a goal a game, have won once in five away league games and concede around one and a half expected goals on the road.

The absences matter. Boca's captain and main passer Paredes is out, along with Villa, and the goalkeeper is a stand-in. Without Paredes their first-half creation against Vasco dropped to a trickle, and Talleres' striker Alvarez Martinez is back from suspension, so a set piece or counter is a real route for the visitors. But the reported XI keeps the defensive and midfield spine, and most of Boca's draws came away from home. I expect a patient first half and a goal once the Talleres block tires after the break, with 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 the likeliest shapes. That's why I'm siding with Boca to win this one.

Cleveland Guardians against Tampa Bay Rays, game four of the series with Cleveland up 2-1. Cleveland open with Armstrong and then hand the game to a chain of short-inning arms; the Rays start Nick Martinez on long rest, but he was pulled after 63 pitches in his last outing, so both teams will be into their bullpens by the fifth. The forecast is a strong north wind blowing in with temperatures falling toward the low fifties, which takes away the home runs that decided earlier games here.

Both bullpens have been strong in this series: Cleveland's relievers have allowed one run in twelve innings, and the Rays' relievers about one run in seven innings across games two and three. Those games finished with four and five total runs, and in both the damage came from a single inning built on a mistake or a well-placed hit, not from sustained offence. The danger is a crooked inning or a misplayed fly ball in the gusts, as game one's ten runs showed, but with the wind in and relievers working one inning at a time I expect a tight game around 3-2 or 4-2. That's why I'm leaning to a low-scoring game here.
