Brooklyn and Charlotte each have more than one scoring source, so the opening stretch can be close. The separation point is how many possessions Charlotte completes cleanly against Brooklyn's active guards. Second shots give Charlotte one route through a tight game; steals and quick breaks give Brooklyn another.
Demin and Ellis can pressure Charlotte's handlers, while Porter and Randle let Brooklyn score even after the game settles into half-court play. Charlotte's Miller and Reid remain effective outlets, but Miller's return did not end the turnover runs in its later exhibitions. White and Knueppel are currently out and did not play those exhibitions, so the replacement handling has already been visible; Brooklyn's main scoring group played its last exhibition.
Charlotte can attack the glass early, but the middle quarters should test whether it can finish enough possessions before Brooklyn runs. That's why I'm siding with the Brooklyn Nets to win.
