Knicks–Pistons had a strange middle. Detroit opened with 38 points, then scored only 25 across the next two quarters while New York took control. Detroit still put together a strong final quarter, but the Knicks finished ahead 111–97 in our provisional record. If you watched it, what changed in those middle possessions: the quality of Detroit’s looks, New York’s defensive decisions, or something else?
The quarter scores show a swing, not its cause. New York also finished with more rebounds and made more free throws, while committing more turnovers. I’d love to hear which stretch actually felt decisive on the floor.
