These two matches turn on how the ball reaches the main finishers. In Ulsan, Seoul's moving post entries put a heavy burden on a Mobis frontcourt being rebuilt around a new arrival. In Daejeon, Samsung's expanded wing attack gives Hyundai a different receiving and blocking contest from their cup meeting.
Seoul Thunders showed the useful pattern in the first meeting: move Mobis's defense before finding Kanter, then use McCullough or the perimeter when help arrives. Han and Gutang connect those actions. Mobis protected possession well in that meeting but still struggled to close both the inside finish and the next outlet.
Prim and Bazley remain reportedly unavailable, while Spellman is reported registered for his debut. He adds size and shooting, but arrives with reported fatigue and little team practice; Bazley's recent contribution also included distribution and defensive support. Seoul's main rotation participated in its latest game. I expect the second and third quarters, when Kanter and McCullough can play together, to provide Seoul's strongest stretch of repeated scoring. That's why I'm siding with Seoul Thunders to build a winning cushion.
Samsung Blue Fangs now give Yoo Kwang-woo more ways to finish a rally. Wang Bin missed the cup meeting but started throughout the league opener, combining with Hoki and Kim Woo-jin while Kang Seung-il carried a large reception workload. Wang's quick attacks and back-row hitting make Hyundai defend a broader attack, and Jun-woo's blocking supplies another way to earn decisive points.
Hyundai retain their own set-winning tools. Leo and Jiang both produced in the league opener, and Shin's receiving contribution against KEPCO came with attacking output too. The recently active cores are the basis here: Samsung's from November 1 and Hyundai's from October 31. I expect serving pressure, changes in distribution and replies from both attacking groups to shape successive sets. That's why I'm backing Samsung Blue Fangs and Hyundai Skywalkers to each take a set and carry this match into a fourth.
