Game 3 looks like a pitchers' duel to me. Chris Sale takes the mound on extra rest against a Dodgers lineup he completely shut down this summer, and the Braves' bats are ice cold going into it. After the off day, both bullpens can line up their best arms behind a real starter. I don't see many runs in this one.
Sale owns this matchup. On August 27 he threw a complete-game shutout against the Dodgers with 11 strikeouts, a 1-0 win. In May he went seven innings in Los Angeles. He opened the postseason with nine strikeouts against the Phillies and then closed out the clincher.
The Braves' offence is the other half of it. They had just four hits in Game 1 and are batting .207 over their last ten games. Olson, Riley and Acuna are all hitting under .170 in the postseason, so Yamamoto doesn't need to be at his very best.
The first two games finished 5-3 and 3-2, even with Atlanta using openers both times. With Sale going instead of a bullpen game, and Iglesias, Suarez and Lee all lightly used in Game 2, the late innings should stay quiet.
