Two Korean matches where the headline record hides what has changed in this game's own conditions. KIA's run over LG was built on two elite foreign starters going deep, and neither of them pitches in Game 3. In Seoul, Anyang's hot start was built mostly on home steals, and its only true big is playing on a sore knee in a third game in four days. In both cases the structure is closer, or tilted the other way, compared with what the table suggests.

LG vs KIA, Game 3. KIA won the first two games the same way: Nail threw seven innings and Oller six, the middle order did early damage, and Jeon Sang-hyun closed. LG matched KIA's 16 hits across those games but scored only four runs, with Austin, Moon Jeong-bin and Moon Bo-kyung going a combined 3-for-22. In this match KIA turns to Shirakawa, who has not reached five innings in either October outing and has allowed four of his nine home runs this season to LG. Austin is 3-for-4 with two homers off him this year, and Park Dong-won and Lee Jae-won have both taken him deep.

On the other side LG starts Carrasco on six days' rest, with a 1.03 WHIP and six innings of one-run ball in the Wild Card game. His weak spot is the second time through the order, and KIA got to him for four runs on October 3. But LG faces elimination, its whole pen is rested, and Son Ju-young is back, so Yeom can pull Carrasco early. If Shirakawa is short again, KIA has to cover four or five innings with long men like Hwang Dong-ha, Kim Tae-hyung and Lee Eui-lee, with Jeon on his third outing in four days. That bridge is the tier that did not have to pitch in the first two games.

I expect LG's power bats to get to Shirakawa early, with Carrasco strongest in the first three innings and the LG pen protecting a narrow lead. That's why I'm siding with LG to win the game.

Seoul SK vs Anyang. Anyang's engine is perimeter pressure: 13, 10, 11, 6 and 9 steals at home, but only 5 in each of its two road games, where it went 1-1 and scored 58 at the Thunders. SK's 0-1 record is a schedule quirk, since its season started late, and in its opener it turned the ball over only twice and won the boards. That loss came from Sono making 16 threes, not from anything structural.

Inside, Warney and Hicks give SK two import forwards against Mooney, who played on a taped knee with a stated minutes limit while Thomas is still out. When Mooney sits, Anyang has no true big to match them on the glass. Both teams defend the paint well, so I expect a grinding game decided late, with SK's ball security blunting Anyang's road pressure. That's why I'm siding with Seoul SK at home, taking the points.
