Both of these are open games between sides with damaged back lines and real attacking output, so goals at both ends are the normal outcome rather than the exception.
Anderlecht against Salzburg: both clubs sit low in the Europa League table and both want the ball. Anderlecht average around 60 percent possession with solid xG, and Salzburg create nearly two xG a game under Rohl. Salzburg are without several centre-backs, including Boma, Schmid and Mellberg, while Anderlecht are short of Hey and Camara. Salzburg have scored in each of their last several games, and Anderlecht's weak results came away from home. I expect a stretched game where neither keeper stays clean, and that is why I'm backing both sides to find the net.
Celtic against Besiktas: the table is the reverse of what you might assume, with Celtic 35th on zero points and Besiktas 8th. Celtic scored in 18 of their last 20, and even in the Falkirk blank they produced big xG, so that was finishing and not volume. Besiktas scored in 17 of 20 and rotate, with Akdag suspended, while Celtic lack Johnston at right-back. Both defences are thinner than usual and Celtic need a result, so I expect trades of chances. That is why I'm backing both teams to score here too.
