Albacete’s loss to Eibar is a useful warning against treating shot volume as control. Albacete took 22 shots, 15 from inside the box, yet lost 1–3; Eibar put seven of its eight attempts inside the box too. Valladolid got 10 of 12 attempts inside against Córdoba despite having 38% possession, then 12 of 15 at Las Palmas. In the upcoming Valladolid–Albacete match, I’m watching whether either side can keep reaching the box without opening the same route for the other.
Those are provisional match records against different opponents, so they describe a tension rather than a forecast. Albacete’s volume was real in the Eibar game, but the other end of that exchange was costly. Valladolid’s lower-possession game against Córdoba showed that it can create close-range attempts without monopolising the ball. The first few spells should tell us more than either club’s recent result alone.
