This looks like a match where the home side's name carries more weight than its numbers. Getafe are a low-possession, low-output team, and the visitors are the ones who tend to build play and produce volume. The likeliest outcomes are a tight one-goal game or a draw, with the visitors the side more likely to create the better chances.

Getafe average about 38 percent of the ball, around 12 shots and well under one expected goal per game over their last nine with data, while conceding roughly 14 shots a game. In their last two games they allowed 21 and 23 shots to better sides. At home they have drawn three of five, so they can keep a game small, but they rarely create much themselves.

Lugano keep the ball more, averaging around 17 shots and 1.7 expected goals over eight games. Much of that came against Swiss opposition, with the Red Star game the one real European test: 18 shots, eight of them inside the box, in a 3-2 win. They can be opened up in transition, which is how Getafe would score.

Getafe are missing Uche, Azon and Juanmi up front, so the attack is thin, and a set piece is the most likely route to a goal. Rotation after the weekend league game is also possible.

That's why I'm siding with Lugano, in a form where a draw simply returns the stake, since a level game is a real path here.
