Two Champions League Elite home sides who should own the ball and the shot count against opponents that have struggled to score. Both matches look like territory-versus-block games where the home team's volume is the main story.
Al Ain against Tractor. Al Ain have been a high-volume attacking side in the Elite so far: eight goals in two games, around 16 shots and 7 on target per game. Their weakness is defending, they leak goals domestically. Tractor are the opposite, a low-event side that scored nothing in both Elite games. Reports say Tractor may be without their first-choice keeper and a key midfielder, though their coach said there were no absentees, so I treat that as unconfirmed. Lineups are not out. I expect Al Ain to have most of the ball and break Tractor down, with a second goal likely if the first comes in the opening hour. That's why I'm siding with Al Ain to win by more than a single goal, with a one-goal win only returning the stake.
Al Qadsiah against Al-Sadd. Qadsiah are a possession team with a clear shot, on-target and corner edge over recent games, while Al-Sadd have scored no goals in two Elite games and conceded five, having conceded in nearly every recent match. Qadsiah did lose at home to Al Hilal three days earlier, so some rotation is possible and no absences are confirmed. Still, the gap in chance creation is large, and Al-Sadd's best hope is a counter. That's why I'm siding with Al Qadsiah to win the match at home.
