Two Korean league games where the stronger home side meets an opponent that struggles to create. Both sit in the top group and the home sides have the easier route to control the pace.
Ulsan host Pohang. Ulsan are second in the table and have won four of their last five at home, scoring ten. Pohang have scored under a goal a game lately, failed to score in five of their last eight, and get outshot by close to two to one. Ulsan also have the longer rest, while Pohang have a continental trip coming and may rotate. Ulsan's back line does leak, but Pohang rarely have the chances to exploit it. That's why I'm siding with Ulsan to win.
Seoul host Gangwon. Seoul lead the league, but they come off a draw and a heavy continental loss with another trip next week. Gangwon hold the ball, draw a lot (fourteen draws in thirty-two) and finish poorly. Seven of the last ten meetings had two goals or fewer and the last one was goalless. I expect a cautious game, and I'm leaning to fewer goals here.
