Getafe against Sevilla looks like a game between a side that cannot score and a side that scores in untidy bursts. Getafe sit deep, own little of the ball and have found the net only five times in ten league games. Sevilla are looser at the back but carry more threat going forward.
Getafe's structure is built on duels, corners and a few direct chances, with roughly 38 percent of the ball. Their last two league games both started badly: they conceded early at home to Rayo and again at Athletic, and each time had a red card in the mix. Sevilla are more open than the table suggests, averaging about one and a half goals for and a bit more against, with close to five shots on target a game.
The absences tilt the matchup. Getafe are without Uche and Juanmi, who have been out since early October, plus Z. Romero injured, and Mojica and Martin are suspended. That strips a wide defender, a midfielder and two attacking options, so their chances come from set pieces and long balls. Sevilla miss Sierra and Marcao but have cover in Agoume and Fofana. These lists were all seen on the day of the game and most were already out in the recent rows.
I expect Getafe to start compact and try to drag this into a scrappy draw. If it is still level around the hour, the bench and corners are their route. But a Sevilla goal first leaves Getafe with very few ways back, given how they have chased games recently.
That's why I'm siding with Sevilla to take the win away from home.
