Frosinone’s forward runners create chances and leave space behind them in the same sequence. Lecce retain wide delivery and central targets to attack that space after regaining possession. Fiorentina and Atalanta also bring usable attacking connections into a meeting shaped by unsettled defensive cover.
Frosinone’s main threat is Ghedjemis finding Schmid, Raimondo and the next midfield arrival. Masini’s pressure helps sustain those attacks, but the home side have also allowed opponents to receive crosses and combine centrally. Gallo and Veiga give Lecce ways to reach Geubbels before that pressure resets, with Maleh supporting the next pass.
Gaspar’s suspension removes an important defensive and aerial presence after his dismissal against Juventus. Gabriel, Ndaba, N’Dri and Fatah are in Lecce’s squad, with fitness concerns still attached; Calò and Calvani are also called up for Frosinone despite conflicting reports about their condition. The visiting options support a competitive exchange rather than a picture built around a depleted team with no outlets.
I expect early home pressure, followed by opportunities for Lecce to attack the space behind advancing players. Di Francesco’s recent second-half adjustments and Alvini’s attacking substitutions give the contest further movement. That is why I’m siding with Lecce to keep this close.
In Florence, Krstovic’s receiving and link play with De Ketelaere give Atalanta a direct way to test the central defence. Zappacosta supplies crosses, while Fiorentina can answer through Fagioli, Jimenez and Mastantuono around Pellegrino. Brescianini’s running and Goncalves’s passing provide different ways to continue an attack.
Pongracic’s injury points toward a new Dragusin–Viery partnership. Atalanta lose Bellanova and Scamacca after both participated in the previous match, while Scalvini and Sulemana are reported back in the squad with their minutes unconfirmed. Those returns add choices, and the surviving attacking connections remain central to my view.
Either team taking the lead should leave the other with reasons and personnel to keep attacking. Atalanta’s recent wide coverage has allowed repeated deliveries, and Fiorentina’s reshaped defence faces a striker who can both finish and release the next runner. That is why I’m backing a goal-rich Fiorentina–Atalanta match.
