Atalanta can reach the box quickly when De Ketelaere and Zalewski combine after a regain. Parma are set up to defend deeper and break through Romero or find Touré on the next ball. The important contest is whether Atalanta's reshaped defence can end those breaks after its attackers move forward.
Atalanta's front route is intact: De Ketelaere, Zalewski and Krstović have produced clean finishes in recent games. Their back line has changed more sharply. Kristensen and Gaetano were hurt in the Fiorentina match, Bellanova had already exited against Frosinone, and Sarri has described the spacing between his new defenders as too open. Parma lose Bernabé after he played Udinese, which takes away a technical link, but Romero and Touré made early chances at Lazio through direct running and the first aerial contact.
Atalanta should have the longer spells near goal, while Parma's lower shape and first pass into space can keep their reply alive. Fiorentina and Frosinone both found routes back after Atalanta led, and Parma's Lazio chances show how this current defensive group can be reached. That's why I'm siding with Parma to keep this contest close.
