Okayama's front press can create an immediate chance, but it also gives Yokohama a route through the first line. The next ball after a blocked shot or cleared corner could be as important as the first attack. A first goal on either side should lead to another demanding sequence of receptions and defensive resets.
Yamane can win the next midfield ball and find Kondo's inside run, while Matsumura can reach a far-side receiver or supply a restart. Okayama can answer through Lucão, Na Sang-ho and Esaka, especially if its first press wins a short pass. The key is whether the current Okayama back line can stop Yokohama's second delivery after initially clearing.
Kondo and Yamane have already connected in the current arrangement following Croux's loss. Okayama's present defenders made the recent errors around the half-time boundary; longstanding Tagami and Ogura absences add little new information about this fixture. Neither side's upcoming lineup is confirmed.
An Okayama opener would ask Yokohama for a quick Yamane-to-Kondo or wide response and then a further winning contact. Yokohama's current receiver changes and separate corner route give them ways to keep returning to the box, while Okayama's own recent shot volume has produced few clean finishes. That's why I'm siding with Yokohama F. Marinos to win.
