This match turns on whether THY can hold its first pass through a full late-set stretch. Fenerbahçe can press that contact with Vargas and Fedorovtseva and has several hitters to close tight points. THY has stayed close to elite opposition, but finishing a set takes more than Lazareva alone. The block and secondary attack are central to those final points.
Sıla's playable first ball lets her find Lazareva, while Derya and the middles keep Fenerbahçe's block from waiting on one attacker. THY came back from two sets down against Galatasaray with Lazareva and Derya scoring heavily and the team adding 15 blocks. Against VakıfBank, THY reached 21 and 22 in the opening sets but finished neither; its outside attack contributed far less.
Fenerbahçe's serve is the immediate test. Vargas and Fedorovtseva combined for six aces against Galatasaray, and Orro's distribution gave Ana Cristina, Vargas, Fedorovtseva and Eda scoring roles against Eczacıbaşı. THY needs a settled reception stretch and a second scoring source to keep Lazareva's attacks effective late in a set.
THY's core, including Lazareva, Sıla and Derya, played its latest match. Orro, Eda and Jack-Kısal played Fenerbahçe's earlier Galatasaray match but were unlisted in the reported Afyon starting six, where Karasoy played. There is no confirmed current absence for them, so I give Fenerbahçe's full distribution its due weight.
I expect Fenerbahçe's serve to create early pressure, with THY's best stretch coming when its reception steadies and its block and secondary attackers contribute. Fenerbahçe has the stronger overall attack, but it has also given up sets to Eczacıbaşı and Beşiktaş. That's why I'm siding with THY to take a set in this match.
