Villarreal's possession meets a Getafe block designed to close central receptions. The home side have recently struggled to turn circulation into a receiver facing goal. Getafe's direct outlets offer a different method, but their latest match produced little sustained chance quality.
Against Espanyol, Villarreal moved the ball slowly around a retreating defence and rushed the final service after falling behind. Pérez has acknowledged the difficulty of these matches. Moleiro and Mikautadze are projected to bring fresher receiving options after shorter European appearances, within the same task of breaking a compact shape.
Getafe can find Satriano and the next forward after a regain. Ünal travelled and has played substitute minutes, with Bordalás reporting foot discomfort. Mayoral's later illness removes a finishing option after his brief Brighton appearance, and the expected Boselli partnership continues with Romero excluded.
I expect Getafe to press selected backward passes before retreating, leaving Villarreal to switch play and search patiently for a clean inside reception. Getafe's own releases should remain intermittent. The recent difficulty completing attacks on both sides is why I'm expecting a restrained scoring match between Villarreal and Getafe.
